Matthew 19 (vv. 1-2)

After finishing his teaching in Galilee, Jesus journeys into the region of Judea on the far side of the Jordan. Large crowds gather around him in the open countryside, bringing the sick and needy. The scene emphasizes both movement and mercy: Jesus has entered a new region, yet his mission remains the same as people press in around him and he heals them there.
