Matthew 14 (vv. 15-21)

As evening falls in a remote place, the disciples bring Jesus the meager offering of five loaves and two fish. Jesus has the people sit on the grass, looks up to heaven, gives thanks, breaks the bread, and through his hands the small meal becomes abundant enough to satisfy the whole multitude, with twelve baskets left over.

저녁이 되어 한적한 곳에서 제자들은 예수께 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리뿐인 작은 음식을 가져온다. 예수는 사람들을 풀밭에 앉게 하시고 하늘을 우러러 감사하신 뒤 떡을 떼신다. 그분의 손을 통해 적은 음식은 온 무리를 배불리 먹이고도 열두 바구니가 남는 풍성함으로 바뀐다.
