Mark 7 (vv. 31-37)

In the Decapolis region near the Sea of Galilee, people bring a man who is deaf and barely able to speak. Jesus takes him aside from the crowd, touches his ears and tongue, looks up to heaven with a deep sigh, and says, 'Ephphatha'—'Be opened.' Immediately the man's hearing and speech are restored, and the surrounding people overflow with amazement at what Jesus has done.

갈릴리 바다 근처 데가볼리 지역에서 사람들이 듣지 못하고 말도 거의 하지 못하는 한 사람을 예수께 데려온다. 예수는 그를 무리에게서 따로 데리고 가셔서 그의 귀와 혀를 만지시고, 하늘을 우러러 깊이 탄식하신 뒤 '에바다' 곧 '열리라'라고 말씀하신다. 즉시 그 사람의 귀가 열리고 혀가 풀려 분명하게 말하게 되자, 주변 사람들은 예수가 하신 일에 크게 놀란다.
