Mark 3 (vv. 1-5)

Inside a synagogue on the Sabbath, Jesus calls a man with a shriveled hand to stand before everyone. The religious observers watch in tense silence, hoping to accuse him. Jesus challenges them with a question about doing good on the Sabbath, then, grieved by their hardened hearts, commands the man to stretch out his hand. In full view of the assembly, the hand is completely restored.

안식일에 회당 안에서 예수께서는 오그라든 손을 가진 사람을 모두 앞에 서게 하신다. 종교 지도자들은 예수를 고발할 구실을 찾기 위해 긴장된 침묵 속에서 그를 주시한다. 예수께서는 안식일에 선을 행하는 것이 옳은지 물으신 뒤, 그들의 완고한 마음을 슬퍼하시며 그 사람에게 손을 내밀라고 명하신다. 회중이 지켜보는 가운데 그의 손은 완전히 회복된다.
