Mark 11 (vv. 1-6)

As Jesus nears Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, he sends two disciples ahead with precise instructions to find a colt tied in a village. They discover it exactly as he said, standing by a doorway in the street. When bystanders question them, the disciples repeat Jesus’ words, and the people allow them to take the animal. The scene reveals Jesus’ foreknowledge and quiet authority before the public events in Jerusalem begin.

예수께서 감람산에서 예루살렘 가까이에 이르셨을 때, 두 제자를 앞서 보내시며 마을에서 매여 있는 나귀 새끼를 찾아오라고 정확히 말씀하신다. 제자들은 말씀하신 그대로 길가 문 앞에 서 있는 나귀 새끼를 발견한다. 곁에 서 있던 사람들이 왜 그것을 푸느냐고 묻자, 제자들은 예수께서 일러주신 대로 대답하고 사람들은 그것을 가져가도록 허락한다. 이 장면은 예루살렘에서의 공적인 사건들이 시작되기 전에 드러나는 예수의 예지와 조용한 권위를 보여 준다.
