Malachi 3 (vv. 13-18)

While the arrogant complain that serving God is useless, a faithful remnant gathers to speak with reverence about the Lord. God listens, and a scroll of remembrance is written before him for those who fear his name. The scene culminates in the promise that these faithful ones will be his treasured possession, clearly distinguished from the wicked.

교만한 자들은 하나님을 섬기는 것이 헛되다고 불평하지만, 경외하는 남은 자들은 함께 모여 주님을 높이며 대화한다. 하나님은 그들의 말을 들으시고, 그의 앞에서 그들을 위한 기억의 두루마리가 기록된다. 이 장면은 이 신실한 자들이 하나님의 특별한 소유가 되고 악인과 분명히 구별될 것이라는 약속으로 절정에 이른다.
