Description
On the far shore, Jesus is met by a tormented man who lives among the tombs, isolated, wild, and bound by many demons. At Jesus' command the unclean spirits leave him, and the nearby herd of pigs rushes down the slope into the lake. The most powerful image comes afterward: the once-possessed man sitting clothed and in his right mind at Jesus' feet, while the townspeople stand in fearful astonishment.
