Standing behind Jesus as he reclines at table, she weeps over his feet, wets them with her tears, wipes them with her hair, kisses them repeatedly, and anoints them with perfume. While Simon silently judges her and questions Jesus, Jesus tells a parable about forgiven debts, defends the woman’s love, and declares that her sins are forgiven and her faith has saved her.
