Description
As Jesus approaches the town gate of Nain with his disciples and a large crowd, he meets a funeral procession leaving the city. The dead man is the only son of a widow, and her grief is deep and public. Moved with compassion, Jesus tells her not to weep, touches the bier, and commands the young man to rise; the dead son sits up and begins to speak, and Jesus restores him to his mother.

예수께서 제자들과 큰 무리와 함께 나인 성문에 가까이 가실 때, 성 밖으로 나오는 장례 행렬과 마주하신다. 죽은 이는 과부의 외아들이었기에 어머니의 슬픔은 더욱 깊고 절박하다. 예수께서는 불쌍히 여기시며 울지 말라고 하시고, 관대를 만지신 뒤 청년에게 일어나라고 명하신다. 그러자 죽은 아들이 일어나 말을 시작하고, 예수께서는 그를 어머니에게 돌려주신다.
