Description
After teaching, Jesus tells Simon to go into deep water and let down the nets. Though exhausted from a fruitless night, Simon obeys. The nets suddenly fill with such an overwhelming catch that they begin to tear, and the partner boat must rush over to help. Both boats are loaded to the edge of sinking. Overcome by the miracle, Simon Peter falls at Jesus’ knees in fear and humility, while Jesus calls him to a new purpose: from now on he will fish for people.

가르치심을 마치신 뒤 예수께서는 시몬에게 깊은 데로 가서 그물을 내리라고 하신다. 밤새 헛수고한 시몬은 지쳤지만 말씀에 순종한다. 그러자 그물에는 엄청난 양의 물고기가 가득 차 찢어질 지경이 되고, 다른 배의 동료들이 급히 와서 도와야 한다. 두 배가 가라앉을 만큼 가득 차자, 시몬 베드로는 두려움과 겸손 속에 예수의 무릎 앞에 엎드린다. 그때 예수께서는 이제부터 사람을 낚는 어부가 될 것이라고 부르신다.
