Luke 24 (vv. 13-27)

Two disciples walk the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus, weighed down by grief and confusion as they discuss Jesus’ death and the women’s report. A stranger joins them and asks what troubles them, though they do not recognize that it is Jesus himself. As they walk through the countryside, he interprets the Scriptures, showing that the Messiah had to suffer before entering glory.
