Description
As the women stand bewildered inside and near the tomb, two heavenly messengers suddenly appear beside them in garments shining like lightning. Overcome with fear, the women bow low with their faces to the ground. The messengers proclaim that Jesus is not among the dead because he has risen, and their words awaken the women’s memory of what Jesus had foretold in Galilee.
