Description
An Israelite worshiper brings a fellowship offering of thanksgiving before the LORD. Beside the animal sacrifice are thick unleavened loaves mixed with oil, thin loaves brushed with oil, fine flour cakes, and even leavened bread presented as part of the thanksgiving gift. The priest receives a contribution from the offering, and the meal must be eaten that same day, giving the whole scene a sense of joyful gratitude joined with sacred urgency.
