Description
Inside the sacred space of the tent of meeting, the anointed priest carries the blood of the bull and performs the central rite of atonement. He dips his finger into the blood and sprinkles it seven times before the curtain of the sanctuary, then marks the horns of the altar of fragrant incense. The remaining blood is poured out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, showing that cleansing reaches both the holy place and the worshiping community.
