Leviticus 26 (vv. 21-33)

Judgment intensifies in waves: wild animals, sword, plague, famine, ruined sanctuaries, toppled high places, and cities reduced to desolation. The covenant curses reach their darkest public expression as the land itself is devastated and the people are scattered among the nations, the consequences of persistent hostility toward God made visible in a broken society and shattered landscape.

심판은 점점 더 강해진다. 들짐승, 칼, 전염병, 기근, 무너진 성소, 쓰러진 산당, 그리고 황폐한 성읍이 연속해서 나타난다. 하나님께 대한 완고한 적대감의 결과로, 언약의 저주는 가장 어두운 공적 모습에 이르며, 땅은 파괴되고 백성은 여러 민족 가운데 흩어진다. 무너진 사회와 산산이 부서진 풍경 속에서 그 결과가 눈에 보이게 드러난다.
