Leviticus 14 (vv. 48-53)

When the mold is gone, the priest declares the house clean and performs a purification rite similar to that for a healed person. Using two birds, cedar wood, scarlet yarn, hyssop, fresh water, and a clay pot, he sprinkles the house seven times and then releases the live bird outside the town. The final image unites household restoration, ritual cleansing, and renewed peace under the LORD’s order.

곰팡이가 사라지면 제사장은 그 집을 정결하다고 선언하고, 치유된 사람의 경우와 비슷한 정결 예식을 행한다. 두 마리의 새와 백향목, 홍색 실, 우슬초, 신선한 물, 질그릇을 사용하여 집에 일곱 번 뿌린 뒤, 산 새를 성 밖에 놓아준다. 이 마지막 장면은 집의 회복과 의식적 정결, 그리고 여호와의 질서 아래 다시 찾아온 평안을 하나로 묶어 보여 준다.
