Leviticus 1 (vv. 1-2)

At the beginning of the sacrificial instructions, Moses stands near the tent of meeting as the LORD calls to him from within. The divine presence is not shown as a human figure, but suggested through radiant light and sacred atmosphere surrounding the entrance. This scene establishes the source of the commands and the holy setting in which Israel is taught how to approach God with offerings from the herd or flock.
