Lamentations 4 (vv. 1-2)

The chapter opens with a shocking reversal: Jerusalem, once radiant like fine gold and adorned with sacred gems, now lies desecrated. Precious stones are scattered at the street corners, and the cherished children of Zion, once valued like gold, are treated as common clay jars. The scene captures the loss of glory, dignity, and sacred identity.
