Description
Abimelek destroys the city and then turns against those sheltering in the stronghold of the temple. He climbs Mount Zalmon, cuts branches, and commands his men to do the same. They pile the branches against the stronghold and set it ablaze, fulfilling Jotham’s curse as fire comes upon the people of Shechem.
