Description
After three years, hostility grows between Abimelek and the people of Shechem. During the grape harvest, the citizens celebrate in the temple of their god, eating, drinking, and cursing Abimelek. Gaal son of Ebed rises in the midst of the feast and boldly challenges Abimelek’s rule, turning festivity into open rebellion.
