Description
By night Gideon and his servant Purah creep to the edge of the Midianite camp, which fills the valley like an endless sea of tents and camels. Hidden in the shadows, Gideon overhears a Midianite soldier recounting a dream of a barley loaf tumbling into camp and overturning a tent, while another interprets it as Gideon’s coming victory. In that secret moment of fear turned to faith, Gideon bows in worship, strengthened by what he has heard.
