Judges 6 (vv. 1-6)

Because Israel has done evil in the sight of the LORD, the people are handed over to Midian for seven years. The land is devastated by repeated invasions: enemy camps spread across the fields, crops are ruined, livestock vanish, and the people retreat into mountain clefts, caves, and rough strongholds. The scene captures national humiliation and desperation as families hide among the rocks while their fertile land is stripped bare below.
