Judges 2 (vv. 19-23)

When a judge dies, the people quickly return to even worse corruption, stubbornly following other gods. In response, the LORD declares that he will no longer drive out the remaining nations at once but will use them to test Israel. This final scene presents the land itself as a moral battlefield, with Israel standing at a crossroads between covenant faithfulness and ruin.

사사가 죽으면 백성은 곧 더 심한 타락으로 돌아가 완고하게 다른 신들을 따른다. 이에 여호와께서는 남아 있는 민족들을 즉시 쫓아내지 않으시고, 그들을 통해 이스라엘을 시험하시겠다고 선언하신다. 이 마지막 장면은 그 땅 자체가 언약의 신실함과 파멸 사이에서 이스라엘을 시험하는 도덕적 전쟁터가 되었음을 보여 준다.
