Judges 2 (vv. 1-3)

The angel of the LORD comes from Gilgal to Bokim and confronts Israel with covenant failure. He reminds them that the LORD brought them out of Egypt and gave them the promised land, yet they did not tear down the altars of the inhabitants. The warning is severe: the remaining nations will become traps, and their gods will become snares to Israel.

여호와의 천사가 길갈에서 보김으로 올라와 이스라엘의 언약 불순종을 책망한다. 그는 여호와께서 그들을 이집트에서 인도해 내시고 약속의 땅을 주셨음을 상기시키지만, 그들은 그 땅 주민들의 제단을 헐지 않았다. 경고는 엄중하다. 남겨진 민족들은 올무가 되고, 그들의 신들은 이스라엘에게 덫이 될 것이다.
