Description
At last the Levite refuses to stay another night and departs late in the day with his concubine, servant, and two donkeys. As evening falls near Jebus, the servant urges them to stop there, but the Levite insists on pressing on to an Israelite town, choosing Gibeah instead. The fading light, the road, and the decision to continue create a decisive and ominous turning point.
