Judges 16 (vv. 23-28)

The Philistine rulers gather in a grand temple to Dagon, celebrating Samson’s capture and praising their god. Brought out from prison to entertain the crowd, Samson is led by a servant into the center of the temple and asks to be placed where he can feel the supporting pillars. Surrounded by mockery and noise, he turns inward and prays for strength one last time.

블레셋의 방백들은 다곤 신전에서 성대한 제사를 드리며 삼손이 붙잡힌 것을 기뻐하고 그들의 신을 찬양합니다. 감옥에서 끌려 나와 사람들을 즐겁게 하도록 세워진 삼손은 한 종의 인도를 받아 신전 한가운데로 들어가고, 자신이 기댈 수 있도록 떠받치는 기둥 곁에 세워 달라고 요청합니다. 조롱과 소음에 둘러싸인 가운데, 그는 마지막 한 번의 힘을 위해 내면으로 향해 기도합니다.
