Description
Samson captures three hundred foxes, ties them tail to tail in pairs, and fastens torches between them. At nightfall he lights the torches and releases them into the Philistines’ standing grain. Flames race through fields, shocks of harvested grain, vineyards, and olive groves, turning the agricultural wealth of the Philistines into a landscape of chaos and fire.
