Description
Manoah, still not fully realizing the identity of his visitor, offers hospitality and asks the messenger to remain while a young goat is prepared. The angel refuses ordinary food and directs that a burnt offering be made to the LORD instead. When Manoah asks for the messenger’s name so that he may honor him later, he receives the mysterious answer that the name is beyond understanding.
