She declares that the people of the land are melting in fear because they have heard of the LORD’s mighty acts at the Red Sea and over the Amorite kings. In the quiet darkness, she asks the spies to swear by the LORD that her family will be spared, and they pledge their lives for hers if she remains faithful.
