Joshua 19 (vv. 10-23)

The third and fourth lots establish the territories of Zebulun and Issachar. Surveyors, clan heads, and witnesses move through hills, valleys, and cultivated plains, tracing the boundaries from Sarid toward Tabor and the Jordan. The visual focus is on the land itself—rolling ridges, fertile fields, and marked routes—showing that the inheritance is both geographic and covenantal. The naming of towns becomes a portrait of a people being rooted in a promised homeland.

세 번째와 네 번째 제비를 통해 스불론과 잇사갈의 영토가 정해진다. 측량하는 사람들과 족장들, 증인들이 사릿에서 다볼과 요단 쪽으로 이어지는 산지와 골짜기, 경작된 평야를 지나며 경계를 확인한다. 이 장면의 중심은 땅 그 자체이다. 완만한 능선, 비옥한 들판, 표시된 길들이 기업이 단순한 지리가 아니라 언약의 성취임을 보여 준다. 여러 성읍의 이름이 불리는 것은 한 백성이 약속의 땅에 뿌리내리는 모습을 그려 낸다.
