John 5 (vv. 14-18)

Later, Jesus finds the healed man in the temple and warns him to turn from sin now that he has been made well. The encounter shifts the story from physical healing to moral and spiritual seriousness. When the man reports that Jesus was the one who healed him, the Jewish leaders begin to persecute Jesus for doing such things on the Sabbath, and the conflict deepens as Jesus speaks of God as his Father.

그 후 예수께서는 성전에서 그 사람을 다시 만나, 이제 건강하게 되었으니 죄를 그치라고 경고하신다. 이 만남은 이야기를 단순한 육체적 치유에서 도덕적이고 영적인 엄숙함으로 옮겨 간다. 그 사람이 자신을 고쳐 주신 분이 예수라고 유대 지도자들에게 알리자, 그들은 안식일에 이런 일을 하셨다는 이유로 예수를 박해하기 시작하며, 예수께서 하나님을 자신의 아버지로 말씀하시면서 갈등은 더욱 깊어진다.
