Description
Inside the high priest’s courtyard, Peter stands among servants and officials around a charcoal fire on a cold night. Questioned repeatedly about being one of Jesus’ disciples, he denies it each time, even when confronted by a relative of Malchus who saw him in the garden. At the moment of his final denial, a rooster crows, and the warmth of the fire becomes a bitter symbol of fear, compromise, and inner collapse.
