John 12 (vv. 20-26)

Among the festival worshipers, some Greeks approach Philip with a simple but profound request: they want to see Jesus. Philip consults Andrew, and together they bring the request forward. Jesus responds not merely to curiosity but to the larger meaning of the moment, declaring that his hour has come and comparing his death to a grain of wheat that must fall into the earth and die to bear much fruit.
