John 12 (vv. 1-3)

At a dinner in Bethany honoring Jesus, Martha is serving while Lazarus reclines at the table as living testimony to Jesus’ power over death. In a deeply intimate act of devotion, Mary kneels before Jesus with a costly jar of pure nard, pours it on his feet, and wipes them with her hair.
