Description
Mary comes quickly to Jesus, followed by mourners who think she is going to the tomb. Falling at his feet, she repeats Martha’s lament, and the crowd weeps around them. Seeing Mary’s grief and the sorrow of those with her, Jesus is deeply moved and troubled. At the tomb’s threshold of loss and love, he weeps.
