Description
Jesus calls Philip, who then brings Nathanael. Skeptical at first, Nathanael is astonished when Jesus reveals supernatural knowledge of having seen him under the fig tree before Philip called him. Nathanael confesses Jesus as the Son of God and King of Israel, and Jesus responds with a greater promise: heaven opened and angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man.
