Description
Because the grain and drink offerings have failed, the worship of the temple is interrupted. Priests and ministers, dressed in sackcloth, grieve before the altar and spend the night in mourning. Elders and the people are summoned to a sacred assembly and a holy fast, crying out together to the LORD as joy and gladness vanish from the house of God.
