Job 34 (vv. 26-37)

The final movement joins two themes: God hears the cry of the poor, and the right human response is humble repentance rather than proud argument. The scene contrasts needy sufferers lifting their hands with a chastened figure in the foreground, head bowed, as if learning to say, 'Teach me what I do not see.' Elihu’s warning against rebellion hangs over the moment, making the image both tender and morally urgent.
