Job 30 (vv. 21-23)

Job describes God’s power as though it has turned against him. He feels snatched up by the wind, driven into a storm, and tossed toward death, the destiny appointed for all the living. Rather than showing God directly, the scene should express divine force through violent weather and Job’s helpless movement within it. It is an image of mortality, smallness, and the terror of being carried by powers beyond human control.

욥은 하나님의 능력이 자신을 대적하는 것처럼 느낀다. 그는 바람에 붙들려 폭풍 속으로 몰리고, 모든 생명에게 정해진 죽음으로 내던져지는 듯하다. 하나님을 직접 묘사하기보다, 이 장면은 거센 날씨와 그 안에서 무력하게 휩쓸리는 욥을 통해 신적 힘을 표현해야 한다. 이는 인간의 작음과 죽음의 inevitability, 그리고 통제할 수 없는 힘에 실려 가는 공포의 이미지다.
