Description
The final image gathers Eliphaz’s warnings into a single vision of collapse. The self-satisfied wicked man, once prosperous, is now set among ruined towns, abandoned houses, and scorched ground. A vine stripped of unripe grapes and an olive tree shedding blossoms symbolize his fruitless end, while a consuming fire in the distance and wind from above suggest the judgment of God upon deceit and evil.
