Jeremiah 6 (vv. 1-3)

The opening scene is one of urgent alarm. The people of Benjamin are told to flee from Jerusalem while a trumpet is sounded in Tekoa and a warning signal is raised over Beth Hakkerem. In the distance, danger gathers from the north. Jerusalem, portrayed as beautiful and delicate Daughter Zion, is about to be surrounded like pastureland claimed by shepherds who pitch their tents around her.

첫 장면은 긴급한 경고의 분위기로 가득하다. 베냐민 자손은 예루살렘에서 피하라는 명령을 받고, 드고아에서는 나팔이 울리며 벧학게렘 위에는 경고의 봉화가 치솟는다. 북쪽 먼 곳에서는 재앙이 몰려오고 있다. 아름답고 연약한 딸 시온으로 묘사된 예루살렘은 목자들이 자기 몫의 땅을 차지하듯 사방에 장막을 치며 에워싸는 대상이 된다.
