Description
At Tahpanhes, Jeremiah receives the word of the LORD and performs a prophetic sign in full view of the Jews. He bends down at the entrance to Pharaoh’s palace and buries large stones in the clay of the brick pavement. The act is quiet but charged with meaning: these hidden stones mark the place where Nebuchadnezzar’s throne will one day stand.
