Description
Jeremiah beholds a vision of creation reversed. The earth appears formless and empty, the heavens lose their light, mountains quake, hills sway, humanity vanishes, and even the birds are gone. Fertile land becomes desert and towns lie in ruins before the fierce anger of the LORD, though total annihilation is withheld. The whole land mourns under divine judgment as darkness spreads and every town empties at the sound of horsemen and archers.
