Description
Seeing the Babylonian officials in the city, King Zedekiah and his soldiers flee under cover of darkness through the king’s garden and the gate between the two walls, heading toward the Arabah. Their escape is short-lived, for the Babylonian army pursues and overtakes them in the plains of Jericho, where the king is captured.
