Description
Ebed-Melek, the Cushite court official, hears of Jeremiah’s plight and courageously approaches King Zedekiah at the Benjamin Gate. In a public place where authority and judgment meet, he boldly accuses the officials of wickedness and pleads for Jeremiah’s life. The king, seated in a place of governance yet wavering in spirit, finally orders that Jeremiah be rescued before he dies.
