Description
Though the Babylonian army has temporarily withdrawn, the LORD declares that it will return. Zedekiah and his officials will be handed over, Jerusalem will be attacked again, and the city and towns of Judah will be left desolate. The final scene is one of inevitable judgment: the horizon darkens with the returning army as the fate of the land is sealed.
