Jeremiah 28 (vv. 12-17)

After receiving the word of the LORD, Jeremiah returns with a harder message: Hananiah has broken only a wooden yoke, but an iron yoke will replace it on the nations under Babylon. Jeremiah then declares that Hananiah was not sent by the LORD and will die that very year for leading the people into false trust and rebellion. The scene culminates not in spectacle but in dread and divine certainty, with the shadow of death already hanging over Hananiah.

여호와의 말씀을 받은 뒤 예레미야는 더 무거운 메시지를 가지고 돌아온다. 하나냐가 부순 것은 나무 멍에일 뿐이며, 그 대신 바벨론 아래 있는 민족들의 목에는 쇠 멍에가 놓일 것이라고 선포한다. 이어 그는 하나냐가 여호와께서 보내신 자가 아니며, 백성을 거짓 신뢰와 반역으로 이끌었기 때문에 바로 그 해에 죽게 될 것이라고 선언한다. 이 장면은 화려한 행동보다 두려움과 하나님의 확정된 심판의 무게가 중심이 되며, 이미 죽음의 그림자가 하나냐 위에 드리워져 있다.
