Jeremiah 22 (vv. 1-5)

Jeremiah stands at the entrance of the king’s palace in Jerusalem, delivering the word of the LORD to the king of Judah, his officials, and the people entering the gates. He calls them to do justice, rescue the robbed, and protect the foreigner, orphan, and widow. Before them lies a choice: obedience will preserve the royal house in honor, but disobedience will turn the palace into ruins.

예레미야는 예루살렘 왕궁 입구에 서서 유다 왕과 그의 신하들, 그리고 성문으로 드나드는 백성에게 여호와의 말씀을 선포한다. 그는 정의를 행하고, 강탈당한 자를 구하며, 나그네와 고아와 과부를 해치지 말라고 촉구한다. 그들 앞에는 선택이 놓여 있다. 순종하면 왕실의 영광이 보존되지만, 불순종하면 궁전은 폐허가 될 것이다.
