Jeremiah 19 (vv. 10-13)

Before the watching elders and priests, Jeremiah breaks the potter’s jar and declares that the LORD will smash the nation and the city beyond repair. He announces that Topheth will become a burial place overflowing with the dead, and that Jerusalem’s houses, even royal ones, will be defiled because of idolatrous worship offered on their rooftops.
