Jeremiah 19 (vv. 1-2)

Jeremiah receives the LORD’s command to buy a clay jar from a potter and gather elders of the people and priests. The scene captures the prophetic act at its beginning: a simple vessel is chosen as the sign of a coming national judgment, while respected leaders are summoned to witness what God is about to declare.
